Meet Our Founder
With over 40 years of expertise, our founder and president, Mr. Mohamed Packir, has been a driving force in apparel manufacturing. Having started his career overseas, he later served as Head of Production at Alberta Garments and Director at AGM Wear Ltd., where he played a key role in optimizing production operations. Recognizing the need for flexibility, he introduced overseas production outsourcing in 2008 to manage peak season demand.
In 2022, after the unfortunate passing of his business partner, Mr. Adrian Busolli, AGM Wear Ltd. ceased operations. However, driven by a commitment to providing high-performance workwear, Mr. Mohamed established Lanka Garments Ltd. to continue supporting Canadian industries and workers with quality, functional, and durable apparel.
Our Operations
Lanka Garments operates locally in Calgary, building close relationships with our customers, while leveraging offshore production in Sri Lanka to maintain efficiency and high-quality standards. Our mission is simple—to provide workwear that enhances performance, prioritizes safety, and deliver quality that lasts.
